Philosophy

The philosophy of the GNS programme are:

1. to improve the use of language and communication skills of all students and to help them develop adequate competence in the use of English as a tool for their present and future employment;
2. to assist students to develop and expand the awareness of their social, cultural and physical environment which invariably will prepare them to become global citizens;
3. to socialise the Nigerian students to cultivate desirable behaviours, attitudes, patriotism, and nationalism as well as to appreciate the status of the constitution and sensitise students to the functions and obligations of Governments at all levels; and
4. to serve as good source of information to students who want to understand the nature of science and its importance to human existence.
5.  to equip students with the 21st century skills in communication and information technology with the course on Digital Skills Acquisition.
